Free paper trading for teachers

Last updated: July 22, 2026

Free. No student accounts to try. $100,000 virtual cash. JagSim is a browser paper-trading simulator built for practice, including classrooms, clubs, and workshops that need a low-friction stock market desk without collecting student PII for a demo.

Why teachers use JagSim

Product facts as of July 2026. Always review your school’s acceptable-use and privacy policies before classroom software use.

Classroom workflow (10 minutes)

  1. Project or share jagsim.com/try.
  2. Search a familiar ticker (e.g. AAPL, TSLA, SPY).
  3. Place a market or limit practice order with virtual cash.
  4. Review P&L and chart moves together. The no-signup demo runs on illustrative prices so it works on any school network and never stalls mid-lesson; a free account switches the same desk to real-time market data.
  5. Optional: students who want a permanent portfolio create a free account later (not required for the demo).

Direct answers

Do I need student accounts?

No for the demo. Anyone can open /try and trade with virtual cash. Free accounts are optional when someone wants a portfolio that saves across sessions and a leaderboard spot.

What about privacy / PII?

The free demo does not require personal information to start practicing. If a learner later creates an account, that is their choice, not a classroom roster requirement for the tryout.

Is this real money?

No. JagSim is a simulator operated by JagInsights LLC. Students cannot deposit, withdraw, or lose real cash. Charts use real tickers on real-time prices. Nothing here is investment advice.

What can we practice?

Stocks and crypto (BTC & ETH, including weekends) with a practice desk in the browser. Pair lessons with the free glossary and calculators when you want vocabulary or position-sizing math.

Not a broker

JagSim does not offer real securities trading. It is educational practice software with virtual money only. Compare other free practice tools on our independent pages: vs Investopedia Simulator, vs thinkorswim paperMoney, and vs Webull paper trading.
